]]> Tue May 29 2007 KLB662 http://garethblair.fotopic.net/c1253141.html Purchased from Dalesman Coaches (Leeds), RT1574 made her way South on 10th April 2007. After initial inspection of the bus, a few faults were found. The bus had very little power and acceleration. The diffrential had leaked all of its oil across the workshop floor. With help from Cobham Bus Museum the faults were rectified. (Poor timing, diff bearing and only20% full throttle being achieved.) Having been recovered back to our premises work started with extensive cleaning and MOT prep. 8th FEBRUARY 2007 The bus has now been class V mot'd and passed with little work required. Attention to brakes and a few electrical bits. 12th FEBRUARY 2007 401 has now been driven to Hants & Dorset Trim, Eastleigh to be re-panelled (where necessary) and re-painted into Red and Cream. Estimated completition of work 19th February. 20th FEBRUARY 2007 "She's a star!" - Meridian TV South have heard about our collection of buses and want to do a short story. 401 being freshly painted was chosen for interviews and outside shots. After 5 hours filming, the 90 second piece went out that evening. MARCH 2007 Top and Bottom Rad hoses replaced. Originals perished. APRIL 2007 Put on show at Cobham Bus Rally at Longcross Test Track. All lower panels and front panel replaced. JULY 2006 Now looking like a corporation bus again, seats were sourced from donor vehicle and installed. 367 featured in Bus & Coach Preseravtion magazine. AUGUST 2006 MOT prep work starts. New tyres and various electrical fittings sourced. New wiring required for MOT but planned to have on the road for April 2007. This has probably been our biggest restoration piece to date.
